NWPF

Northwest Parkinson's Foundation is hosting an Art & Movement Symposium! Join us for a light-hearted and fun symposium for all folks impacted in the Parkinson's community. NWPF is partnering with the Pratt Fine Arts Center to bring you a day of fun workshops.

As a Volunteer, you're tasks may vary throughout your time volunteering. They'll look something like this: help set up and take down workshops, help attendees navigate the building and the area of the event, support workshop leaders as needed, support NWPF's Community Engagement Specialist as needed, and have fun!

Happy to split shifts into morning and afternoon. 9-11:30 am, 11-1:30 pm, 1-3 pm. Come for one, two, or all shifts! We'd love to have you be a part of this great community building opportunity. And if you're a fan of the arts- you'll be sure to have a good time!

Mission Statement

To establish optimal quality of life for the Northwest Parkinson's community through awareness, education, care and advocacy. The NWPF achieves our mission through many programs that support specialty care, produce and distribute free educational and support resources, promote events that contribute positively to the Parkinson's community, raise awareness of Parkinson's disease and develop self-care tools that help improve quality of life for people with Parkinson’s, their families and caregivers.

Description

The Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation mission is simple: Improve the quality of life of people in the PD community right now. Tomorrow, there is unlikely to be a cure for this disease, but we know for certain that someone in the northwest will be diagnosed with PD. Our goal is to bridge that gap between diagnosis and cure, with the best evidence-based programming available at no or low cost. We want people to Move, Connect and Engage.
