The Guest Services Department is seeking baseball enthusiasts to enhance the visitor experience in our newest exhibit Play Ball! A Celebration of America's Game. Do you love baseball and want to share your knowledge of the game with others? The host will greet museum visitors, help guests orient themselves to the exhibit, and maintain and re-set any interactive components in the exhibition. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to lead quick 15-20 minute tours throughout their shift to any visitor interested in a more in depth interpretation of the exhibit.

Opening with the 2018 baseball season, Play Ball! showcases the Marshall Fogel Collection, one of the greatest sets of baseball artifacts ever assembled outside the Hall of Fame. This celebration of our national pastime is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate baseball’s storied history in a way you’ve never seen it before.

Training: *Must be able to attend training on either Wednesday, March 21 st at 1:30 -3 PM or Sunday, March 25 th at 10 - 11:30 PM.

Duties Include:

• Answer questions and provide assistance to museum visitors
• Lead quick tours through exhibit
• Assist guests through exhibit interactive such as a photo wall
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of exhibit interactives
• Helping facilitate the visitor experience

Desired Skills:

• Knowledgeable about baseball (training will be provided)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Passion for baseball history
• Project a friendly and helpful presence
• Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision

Desired Schedule (minimum hour/week, day, hours, etc):

Shifts will be available from 11:00am-2:00pm daily from April - November 2018
