About Junior Achievement of Southern California
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating students about financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship. We offer curriculum for grades K - 12, which aligns with Common Core Standards for Math, English and Language Arts. JA curriculum is delivered by volunteers or parents. JA volunteers are not only trained and prepared to teach the JA curriculum to students, but they are also encouraged to share their life and work experience with the students to bring the curriculum to life. Every year, we prepare and inspire over 75,000 students to succeed in the global economy.

Description
Junior Achievement of Southern California is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Our three pillars of success: entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness, are helping prepare young people for the real world by showing the economic relevance of staying in school, building self-confidence, and inspiring them to dream big for their futures.
At JA Finance Park, students are given a unique life profile after answering a series of future lifestyle questions. Their life profile includes an income, marital status, even kids! Using this new adult persona, students work to create a balanced monthly budget while making decision regarding housing, transportation, insurance, savings, entertainment expenses and much more.
