As a troop leader with Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, you’ll introduce girls to new experiences and help them take the lead and change the world. You will be their cheerleader, guide and mentor, helping them develop crucial skills and confidence to launch them into a lifetime of leadership. Imagine the excitement, the memories made and the impact - this is what you’ll share as a Girl Scout volunteer.
Our troop leaders have access to a digital assistant - the Volunteer Toolkit - and other great tools and resources to help guide girls through planning fun activities, giving back to the community and other leadership experiences. Girls are waiting to be a part of Girl Scouts and adult volunteers are needed to help lead troops and help ensure a safe and valuable experience. Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas is a dynamic and contemporary organization which prepares girls to seek and meet the challenges for our ever changing society. Through our program, girls ages 5-17, learn to have fun, gain self-esteem, and contribute to their communities. Support for our organization is provided by trained volunteers and skilled staff. The volunteer structure is innovative and emphasizes adult education and training.
