DemocracyLab is a platform that connects skilled tech volunteers with tech for good projects that seek to tackle the world's most challenging problems.

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Engineer to join our engineering team. If you’re interested in creating a user-friendly environment by writing code and moving forward in your career, then this is for you. We expect you to be a tech-savvy professional, curious about new digital technologies and aspires to combine usability with visual design. Much like an early-stage startup, there is an emphasis on building process infrastructure for the organization's long-term growth plans. We are a group of volunteer self-starters working autonomously at our own time, and our own pace and are looking for similar candidates that share our passion for DemocracyLab's vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Proficient in CSS, HTML, and React
  • Maintain and improve website
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed
  • Design mobile-based features
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
  • Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers
  • Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of SEO principles
