Hannah's House is a family center that provides a safe place for children caught in the middle of challenging family life changes - a place where children can come together with their parents in a nurturing, supportive, solution-focused and protective environment. Our menu of services is designed to support parents and children through family challenges.

Program Ambassador Volunteer

The Family Resource Center at Hannah’s House is actively seeking a Volunteer Program Ambassador. These volunteers have outgoing personalities, comfortable striking up conversations, a passion for nonprofit work and are engaging conversationalist who find enjoyment in supporting, promoting, and educating others on the services rendered through the Family Resource Center at Hannah’s House.

The volunteer can expect to gain experience in presenting, researching, collecting data, and developing content for Social Media Channels and the Hannah’s House website. Volunteer applicants are required to complete online application and attend a volunteer information interview with Volunteer manager and outreach manager. Applicants should have ability to commit to at least 6 months of volunteer service. FRC is seeking someone that is primarily available for outreach events on Fridays and Saturdays from around 9a-1p.

Description

When crisis strikes, Hannah's House assists families to make positive transitions in the family structure. The transitions are caused by: divorce/separation/custody/ visitation disputes; domestic violence; child abuse/neglect; parental substance abuse and mental illness. Hannah's House assists family members through parent and co-parent education, animal-assisted children's groups; facilitated coparenting meetings; anger management classes; and substance abuse evaluations.
