Come educate and celebrate with us. Over 350 exhibitors and 25,000+ people come to learn about and honor the planet we share with music, workshops, arts, crafts, science fair, foods and activities.
The event only happens due to dedicated community members coming together to make it safe, secure and sustainable. This shift during the event can assist with anything from Recycling to Education Booths, from Welcoming visitors to helping pack up supplies, from running games to helping with stages. All volunteers receive a Free T-Shirt, Lunch, Water, surprise gifts, invitation to our Appreciation Party and hours of service verification as needed - in addition to working with a great team!

Mission Statement
Our philosophy is to bring together the many diverse perspectives on what Earth Day means, creating a forum for all organizations, ideas, strategies and interests to come together for a day of collaboration and cooperation. As the event organizers, we try to maintain a position of non-bias for or against any particular strategy, and leave it to the numerous businesses and organizations to promote specific messages and educate on the various perspectives and strategies. While individual organizers may have personal opinions and positions on various Earth Day topics, the Reno Earth Day’s only agenda is to provide the forum for all of these parties to come together for the day of education and celebration.
Description
Reno Earth Day is a long standing Community Event that draws crowds of thousands every year to Idlewild Park in April. It is the first major event of the season for our area and has been growing every year. Total attendees for the 2013 event were estimated to be 15,000 - 20,000 people. This event holds attractions for all ages, is free to the public and draws a wide demographic of attendees and exhibitors. The event combines educational workshops, earth friendly messages and special exhibits with festival style entertainment, food and drink, activities and games. The entire experience is an interactive celebration designed to educate and inspire regarding clean and green technologies, the natural world around us and the many perspectives on the planet we share.
