About

Community Based Mentoring

Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak
El Paso County, Colorado

Community Based Mentoring: Volunteers are matched with a child (ages 9 to 12) to mentor, and then decide how they want to build that relationship, deciding upon whatever activities they are both mutually interested in.

Volunteers commit to a minimum of one year, spending time with the same child two to four times each month. Big Brothers Big Sisters staff members support the mentors, offering suggestions, advice, assistance and counsel.

Volunteers must be 21 years of age to enroll.

Volunteers must have a valid driver's license, up-to-date auto insurance, a good driving record, and be able to pass an extensive background check.

This is our traditional mentoring program, for which Big Brothers Big Sisters (of America) is best and most known for.

Right now, Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak is in need of men in El Paso County CO to volunteer. Presently, we have several youth (Little Brothers) who are waiting to be matched with a Big Brother. Please consider volunteering today!
