MEED Center is Seeking Dedicated Volunteer to Teach English Courses for the Refugees
Requirement:
Must be able to commit to a minimum of 1 1/2 hours per week (for min of 3 months)
Must have a college degree or 2-year experience of teaching English to adult
Must have the passion and patience to teach a challenging population with varied levels of language ability and cultural background
Must be able to commit to at least 3-month of commitment (substitute teachers are available if you have to miss a week or two during the program)
Must have a clear pronunciation of English language that is easy to understand by our refugee clients
Classes are held in the morning from 930 AM to 11 AM Wednesday to Friday. The volunteer may choose to take one day or more.

Our students are newcomers to the country
Most have arrived under refugee or asylee status
