ORGANIZATION: MINT ARTISTS GUILD

  • 2 people are interested

Mint Artists Guild teaches talented teen artists business, career and life skills, through workshops, artists talks and more. We have some video - shot by one of our youth teens - of artists sharing their story and advice. We'd like to get the video edited - in some case one artist talk could be three or four worthwhile short videos - and produce a series of information and inspiration.

If you have video editing skills and want to help us with this, in time for our summer creative jobs program (which starts in early July), please be in touch! And if you're willing to teach our executive director how to do simple editing, that will be a bonus.

Timing on this is flexible - but we couldn't indicate that with the forms required here!

About MINT ARTISTS GUILD

Location:

PO Box 21667, Detroit, MI 48221, US

Mission Statement

Mint Artists Guild helps to transform aspiring Detroit youth artists through education, exceptional engagement and experience, resulting in earning opportunities, skill-building, exposure, and mentoring. Mint launches creative careers and lasting connections. Mint also infuses the community with art and creative experiences, enhancing a collaborative, healthy and generous culture.

Description

Mint works with artists ages 13 to 23 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists. In 2020, we launched the Metro Detroit Youth Arts Competition, a creative activity kit giveaway (of 5,500 kits) and in 2021, we launched leadership development training. This year, we are working on an alumni engagement program, adding creative jobs to our website and so much more. We need your help and support to continue our growth!
