Adapted Aquatics is a learn-to-swim program for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Volunteers will receive training to work one-on-one with participants in the water to strengthen and develop basic swim skills. Volunteers should be strong swimmers, be comfortable in the water and have a passion for working with others. Volunteers can pick one 40 minute class, or volutneer for all three classes. Adapted Swimming is on Sunday afternoons with seven week classes every quarter -- fall, winter, spring, summer. All volunteers MUST register via the DPR website: https://parks.arlingtonva.us/volunteer/.
