ORGANIZATION: LA WORKS RSVP

L.A. Works is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, volunteer action center that creates and implements hands-on community service projects throughout the greater Los Angeles area. We strive to empower Angelenos to address pressing social issues through volunteerism and community collaborations.

Opportunity Description: L.A. Works RSVP is seeking volunteers to help beautify an elementary school in Northridge. Their 4th-grade class has been hard at work on school projects that help the environment such as taking part in a bee census at Griffith Park. Volunteers can expect to spend a morning with the kids who will present on their findings, while also making their school greener by working on large projects such as an environmentally-themed mural painting, gardening, and constructing a raised vegetable box.

A light breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided.

Seeking volunteers age 55+, with limited openings for friends and family as well.

Benefits: Come and learn about what you can do to support your local community through environmental conservation and make a lasting difference for future generations.
