ORGANIZATION: Fairview Community Health and Wellness Hub

The surgery admit unit volunteer is responsible for welcoming arriving patients and their support teams and orienting them to the waiting room including surgical tracking boards. The volunteer will also provide updates to the support team, answer, transfer and respond to telephone requests, escort support teams to patient rooms, round in waiting rooms to ensure families’ needs are met and areas are kept tidy, and work closely with staff to create a customer first experience. Volunteers can also assist in the pre and post op areas to ensure patients are comfortable and relaxed.

We are looking for volunteers to fill weekly openings on Wednesdays 8am-12pm and 4-8pm, and Fridays 12-4pm.

All volunteers receive a discount in our gift shop, complimentary parking and a cafe card during each shift.
