Provide Life-Changing Support to the Mentally Ill Homeless

Instructors Needed for Special Classes

Are you studying in a social work or public health field? Get on-the-ground experience in an emergency shelter serving the mentally ill homeless. Do you have skills or knowledge in:

- Life skills
- Harm reduction
- Arts therapy

Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS) has provided shelter, housing and support services to the homeless, disabled and poor in Hayward since 1989. We are looking for skilled volunteers to provide LIFE SKILLS, HARM REDUCTION or ARTS THERAPY classes for the residents in our emergency shelter -- South County Homeless Project.

The hours are flexible -- we will work with you to find what works!

REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge/experience with the homeless mentally ill, and a desire to help people in need.

BENEFITS: Hands on work experience + opportunities for training and networking + learning from professionals who are passionate & knowledgeable + the amazing experience of making a difference in someone's life!
