The Institute for Attachment & Child Development (IACD) is a 47 year old Colorado-based nonprofit serving children and their families effected by developmental trauma and attachment disorders. Developmental Trauma Disorder (DTD), also referred to as Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), stems from early and severe childhood neglect and abuse and, if left untreated, can be devastating for families. IACD serves families from around the country and is one of the only programs in the world specifically focused on treating children with these disorders alongside thier families.
IACD is currently seeking qualified and passionate candidates to serve on our Board of Directors, a volunteer position. The time commitment for a Board position is approximately 3-5 hours per month, and requires:
- Regular attendance in monthly board meetings and important related meetings
- A commitment to participate actively in committee work, when necessary
- Staying informed about board and committee matters, preparing well for meetings, and review and comment on minutes and reports
- Active participation in the organization’s annual planning effort
- Participation in community engagement events
