Join us to make a difference in a child's life

This event is a great opportunity to have fun with friends, colleagues or family while raising funds for a great cause. All proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle. Our agency provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

To participate in Bowl for Kids’ Sake, sign up as a team or a corporate sponsor. You will receive your own customized webpage that you can send to friends, family and other contacts to ask them to support your team. We ask that you set a team goal of raising a minimum of $500, or about $100 per person.

On the day of Bowl for Kids’ Sake, just come out to the bowling alley and have fun. We provide the bowling shoes, one game of bowling, shirts and prizes!

You don’t need to be a good bowler to participate, all you need is the heart for helping kids in our community. Join us today!

Mission Statement

Changing perspectives. Changing lives. Vision: All children achieve success in life. Mission: Create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

Description

All youth have the ability to do BIG things. That is why Big Brothers Big Sisters of Triangle (BBBST) ignites the potential within every child and advocates for them to explore the endless possibilities of what they can accomplish. There are an estimated 42,454 children living at or below the federal poverty level in Wake, Durham and Orange Counties. 64% of these children live in a single parent home. Although these youth may experience obstacles on a regular basis, they do not lack the ability to overcome those obstacles and reach their full potential.

For more than 20 years, BBBST has been Eastern North Carolina’s premier mentoring organization, defending the potential of future leaders in the community by matching at-risk youth (Littles) with committed adult mentors (Bigs). These relationships - strategically matched based on Littles’ needs and Bigs’ backgrounds and skills, as well as common interests, aspirations, and personalities - empower Littles to achieve success in life and become productive members of the community.
