Cornerstone Assistance Network wants to place a VAVS Volunteer Coordinator VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America) at Soldiers’ Angels in Dallas.

Pay: $1,025 per month BEFORE taxes

Soldiers' Angels is a national nonprofit organization serving our service members, wounded heroes and veterans of all generations. This AmeriCorps VISTA position will work as the VAVS Volunteer Coordinator and will be focused on supporting veterans in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Working with the Regional Director, this position will focus on volunteer recruitment, community engagement and building infrastructure to strengthen the work our team does to serve Dallas/Fort Worth area veterans.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit volunteers to serve veterans at the Dallas VA Medical Center * Attend networking events and activities in order to introduce Soldiers’ Angels to potential volunteer pools.
• Develop policies, procedures and processes related to volunteer recruitment
• Develop curriculum that can be used to train volunteers serving at the VA medical center. Research and develop methods to ensure volunteers are trained, developed, and recognized in a way that fosters volunteer retention
• Implement recognition program including structure, tools, and training in order to retain VAVS volunteers and provide a higher level of satisfaction in their volunteer work. Develop policies and procedures related to volunteer recognition programs
