ETIV do Brasil is located in the beautiful fishing and surfing town of Itacare, Bahia. Our mission is to support environmental conservation and development in Brazil, with a deep focus on youth development. We also offer housing at our volunteer house.
We are looking for volunteers and interns to support our local community projects in environmental conservation, youth development, teaching English, community organizing and women's empowerment. In addition, we have several positions available working in the ETIV office while also learning about international development. These positions include NGO administration, volunteer coordination, marketing & recruitment, website development, fundraising, event planning, basic office support and painting and construction.
All volunteers and interns will receive supervision and support, while excellent references will be offered to those who conduct quality work. Interns also have the opportunity to conduct research on any of the projects or positions listed above to fulfill an internship research requirement. For more information about all of our volunteer and internship opportunities, please visit our website at www.etivdobrasil.org.
Itacare is unique place where the Rainforest meets the Atlantic Ocean and beautiful beaches, jungles, coconut trees, waterfalls and wildlife abound. These opportunities are perfect for volunteers and interns seeking a meaningful work experience in a stunning location that boasts a thriving Afro-Brazilian culture.

To support development and environmental conservation in Brazil by connecting volunteers and interns with local communities.
ETIV is deeply focused on youth development and environmental conservation in Brazil. As a result, one of our main goals is to develop a new generation of local youth leaders that actively care for each other, their community, the environment and all sentient beings. This is the main avenue by which we work to achieve our Mission and Vision (highlighted below). Through all of our community projects, we encourage volunteers to teach and model some of the core values necessary to create and maintain healthy and prosperous communities. This includes mutual respect, cultural appreciation, caring for each other, speaking the truth, acting honestly and transparently, sharing and being generous (as opposed to stealing or taking things that don’t belong to you) and actively caring for the environment and all sentient beings.
