Description: This volunteer opportunity would involve upkeep and editing of the Rainbow Project’s website, such as:
- Posting updates and blurbs on the "news" portion of the site
- Posting information on upcoming events, such as our annual benefit, Rhumba 4 Rainbow
- Running updates on website plugins and themes (as needed)
- Posting job and volunteer opportunities/information
The opportunity will also involve developing and maintaining a " resource page" on the Rainbow Project’s website and may include other website developments or editing as needed.
Qualifications: A successful candidate for this opportunity will have the following:
- Proficiency in website hosting/editing platforms, particularly, WordPress (what Rainbow uses)
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Efficient use of time
- An eye for layout and design
- Desire to help/work with the nonprofit field
- Some background in graphic design preferred
- Some background in computer science or coding a plus, but not necessary
Report to: the Administrative Manager, Caitlin Bausch
Time Commitment: Will range depending on time of year- could be 1-2 hours a week to start, more during Child Abuse Prevention Month (April) and close to Rhumba 4 Rainbow, Fall of every year.
Location: Work could be completed here at the Rainbow Project, 831 East Washington Avenue, or remotely using one’s own computer.

The Rainbow Project Child & Family Counseling & Resource Clinic serves families with young children, primarily ages 10 & under, in Dane County, Wisconsin, & the surrounding areas. Rainbow Project provides individualized, consumer-centered, & responsive services within a variety of settings. Services provided include short & long-term counseling, prevention & early intervention services for children, adults, families, & the community.
