WHERE A CHILD LIVES SHOULD NOT DETERMINE HIS OR HER FUTURE.

Serve as a role model for middle and high school age youth and encourage academic and personal success. We need volunteers who want to make a lasting impact in the lives of our Central Santa Ana youth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with youth in an informal classroom setting
• Provide extra homework help when requested, play games, and have conversations with youth
• Assist program leaders during workshops focused on leadership and spiritual development
• Attend and participate in monthly youth events

Qualifications:

• Exhibit the ability to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to 6 th-12th grade youth
• Exhibit initiative and ability to build healthy relationships with 6 th-12th grade students
• Exhibit patience and a desire to encourage youth in their progress
• Exhibit a teachable attitude and desire to learn about the culture of the community

Time Commitment: Flexible and based on Volunteer’s availability. We ask volunteers for at least one hour per week, and a 3 month minimum commitment. The YouthWorks Program generally takes place during the school year on the following days/times:

Monday -Thursday, between 6-7pm
