Description
Benevilla is a not-for-profit human services agency that has been providing care to residents of the Northwest Valley since 1981. We are dedicated to "cultivating a caring community" by providing assistance to seniors, caring for adults with disabilities, helping children learn life skills and we extend that experience to the caregivers of each age group.
Through a network of six adult day centers (located in Sun City, Sun City West, Peoria and Surprise), support groups, educational services and partnering with the VA, we provide a very personalized care program. This promotes independence and instills a sense of dignity and self-empowerment, regardless of the ability to pay. Not only do these services offer assistance to clients themselves, but many programs also address the ongoing and changing needs of the family members who provide the daily care to their loved ones.
We also offer intergenerational programs designed to bring together children, families and older adults in a unique setting on our main campus at Wirtzie's Child Development Center.
In addition, our 900+ volunteers provide services to older adults to help them stay independent in their homes. By grocery shopping, providing transportation to medical appointments, friendly visitors and handymen, we assist area residents to maintain a higher quality of life. This helps them to remain in the comfortable setting of their familiar surroundings
