This event caters to young professionals and the young at heart! A desire to have fun and to help our cause by checking guests in, distributing promotional materials, helping with the silent auction, checking guests out and more!

Join us for the 11th Annual Brewer’s Ball! This one-of-a-kind beer tasting event has hosted over 60 different types of brews presented by local craft breweries, wholesalers and more along with featured food from 15 Pittsburgh restaurants and brewpubs each year. Guests mix and mingle, while sampling handcrafted beers, tastes of the best local cuisine, and more! Your admission includes a tasting glass, unlimited sampling opportunity along with access to bid on unique silent auction items and experiences. Invite your family, friends, and clients to enjoy hand-crafted brews and signature samplings from the Pittsburgh area. Mission Statement

The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care.

Description

Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time.

In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients.

People with cystic fibrosis are at greater risk of getting lung infections because thick, sticky mucus builds up in their lungs, allowing germs to thrive and multiply. Lung infections, caused mostly by bacteria, are a serious and chronic problem for many people living with the disease. Minimizing contact with germs is a top concern for people with CF.
