Seminole County Watershed Management & the SERV Program invite you to participate in a shoreline restoration project on Saturday, April 7th, 2018, from 9 am to noon. Join us and help plant shoreline vegetation to improve ecosystem function and beautify English Estates Pond! Please plan to get muddy and wet during planting; we will be working in the water. Closed-toed shoes are required; old clothes, gloves, and sun protection are recommended. Event kick-off location: 1427 Oxford Rd, Maitland FL 32751. Mission Statement
The Seminole Education, Restoration, and Volunteer (SERV) Program works to actively restore the waterways and natural areas of Seminole County, and educate the public about why these resources are important.
Description
We provide opportunities for volunteers to do lake restorations, invasive species removal, litter clean-up activities, and stormdrain marking in Seminole County. We also coordinate with the Adopt-A-Road and Adopt-A-River Programs. Working with SERV is a great way to give back to the community, earn volunteer hours for school or club requirements, and have fun outside while learning about our amazing natural resources. All ages are welcome.
