Provide instruction to teens and adult athletes with intellectual disabilities. Introduce fundamental skills for disc golf on a variety of courses. Long term potential to enter into main stream disc golf tournaments. This program is a club sport to introduce Special Olympic athletes to independent recreation options in the community. Practices are every Wed night in May from 6-7:30p at Henry Anderson III Community Park.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community.
Description
SOOC offers 18 sports year-round to more than 300 athletes of all ages and skill levels with developmental disabilities.
