Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: LifePath Hospice, Inc.

Apply now to be a volunteer for the 26 th Annual Camp Circle of Love - March 23-25 th ! Deadline to apply is March 14th.

All children need to be surrounded by love, especially those who have recently experienced the death of a loved one. LifePath Hospice recognizes the special needs of these children and has created Camp Circle of Love, a weekend camp for children, ages 6 to 18. The experience combines healing with fun, letting children know that life still has a lot to offer, and helps those who have recently lost a loved one share their feelings of loss with others.

Camp combines exciting outdoor activities with opportunities for group discussions led by professionally-trained cabin leaders. Attendees participate in traditional camp activities such as swimming, campfires, hay rides and team sports. Campers also participate in therapeutic activities throughout the weekend, such as a ropes course, arts and crafts, and a scavenger hunt. These activities help the campers cope with grief, re-build trust and gain self-awareness. One of the most poignant activities is our Saturday evening memorial service which provides opportunities for the child to have closure and begin healing. To learn more about Camp Circle of Love, please visit our YouTube channel to watch a short and informative video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7uIX40j8uc&feature=youtu.be

To apply to be a volunteer, complete the online camp volunteer application at bit.ly/VolunteerCampCOL . The volunteer application deadline is Monday, March 12, as all volunteers must undergo a background screening process, which may require getting fingerprinted.
