Volunteer Opportunity!

For the past six seasons, Schnauzer Love Rescue (SLR) has had the opportunity to volunteer with Verizon Amphitheater in Alpharetta to set up a volunteer-run beverage stations to raise funds to pay the medical bills of the schnauzers in our foster homes.

For each show, we set up a booth or two (up to six!) where we pour beer, wine and water during the show. As a group, we work 20+ shows each season. The rescue is paid comissions by the venue based on our sales, and all tips are donated to the rescue as well.

The best part? 100% of the funds go directly to the SLR fosters for vaccinations, spay/neuter or other medical needs to get them ready to meet the people who will make them forever family members. Schnauzer Love Rescue, Inc. is a "no kill" organization which will take in a schnauzer with medical needs that otherwise mean euthanasia in a shelter. Getting them healthy for adoption can be expensive.

What you give:

• That great feeling that comes from knowing that you’ll be helping Schnauzers get the care that they need to find a forever family.

The amphitheater's insurance requires a 2 hour training course on alcohol awareness before participating. This is frequently offered, and relatively painless. (I just attended, and it was not bad at all.)
