On April 6th at the Multnomah Arts Center, Neighborhood House will host our 3rd annual Empty Bowls Soup Dinner. The event involves artists creating and donating ceramic bowls to an organization that hosts an Empty Bowls Soup Dinner wherein guests purchase the bowls, fill them with soup, and keep them as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. Proceeds from our event go straight to our Emergency Food Box program, the largest food pantry on Portland's West Side and one that is entirely community-supported.

Last year, our dinner helped us procure over 19,000 pounds of food for the Food Box. We hope to raise even more money this year to support the program, and we need your help to put on a successful event!

There are a variety of volunteer roles available: Set-up Assistant, Food Prep, Décor Prep, Soup Server, Restocking Assistant, Check-out Assistant, Cleaning Station Assistant, and Clean-up Crew. Also, this is a great volunteer opportunity for families and groups!

Contact Marc at mczornij@nhpdx.org or 503-246-1663 x2117 for more info, and we look forward to having you help us support our neighbors in need!
