Open Heart Magic's 12th Annual Benefit will be held on April 27th at Northerly Island. Volunteers are needed for this semi-formal event to man the coat check, sell raffle tickets, and assist with registration. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt to wear at the event and dinner will be provided.

Mission Statement

Open Heart Magic’s mission is to improve the hospital experience for sick kids and their families through our Hospital Bedside Magic programs. To help sick kids get their magic back.

Description

Open Heart Magic (OHM) is a Chicago based 501(c)(3) children’s charity focused on improving the medical experience for sick kids in hospitals.

Our specially-trained volunteer Hospital Magicians visit children and teens in pediatrics and use magic to engage and empower kids dealing with challenging medical situations. The personalized interactions create magical moments to reengage curiosities and give a greater sense of control.

In 2019, Hospital Magicians reached over 12,000 kids at their hospital bedsides. Open Heart Magic currently partners with 14 hospitals in Chicago, Ann Arbor, and Cleveland:
