Organization Overview
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP), our business is changing lives. We are a vibrant, entrepreneurial nonprofit in the heart of Silicon Valley that is committed to partnering with schools to ensure the low-income youth of our community graduate from high school, ready for college and career. BGCP is the largest expanded learning time organization in Silicon Valley, serving 1,800 youth at nine sites in East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Redwood City. In neighborhoods where ⅓ of the youth drop out of high school, BGCP members learn the importance of education and become part of a community of learners, wanting and expecting to succeed in school.
Position Overview
BGCP has been given a unique opportunity. The San Francisco 49ers have asked us to put together a flag football league this spring/summer. We are looking for 8 coaches to help support this 49ers Prep League.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide the low-income youth of our community with the opportunities they need to achieve school success
Description
The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Peninsula's vision is that all young people, if they work hard, can live fulfilling lives with a good education, a fair paying job, decent housing, and the ability to raise a family. We want kids' futures to depend more upon their own actions and less upon the circumstances into which they were born.
It's an incredible time to live in Silicon Valley. Many are enjoying unprecedented levels of growth and wealth. People from all over the world are striving to move here to participate in our culture of optimism and opportunity. At the same time, this prosperity isn't being felt by all, and too many young people are growing up disconnected from what makes our community so dynamic.
