Is your dog sweet and gentle? Up to date on vaccinations? Does your dog like to meet new people? Come and join our Paws for Comfort team at Encompass Hospice!

You and your dog would visit hospice patients, providing unconditional love, comforting companionship and peace to patients on their end of life journey. You don't need medical skills; you don't need a college degree; you don't need to know what to say. Simply sign up and through our hospice volunteer training, you will be more than prepared!

At Encompass Hospice our volunteers set their own level of commitment depending on their personal schedule and availability. But we prefer a two hour per week (including travel time) and a 6-12 month commitment.

I would love the chance to tell you more about this amazing program and meet your best pal! Please email me, call or text me and I'll get back in touch right away. I hope you and your furry best friend can join us soon!

Mission Statement

"A Better Way to Care"

Description

Our hospice services at Encompass Hospice are designed to better the lives of terminally ill patients and to encourage comfort and provide dignity and peace during end-of-life stages. Our compassionate, highly trained team is driven by integrity and respect to support the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of both our patients and their loved ones.

We inspire confidence during end-of-life care by providing services in our patients’ homes -- whether that is a personal home, nursing home, assisted living community, independent living community or other location.

Our volunteers play a very active role in our plan of care, providing not only services such as companionship and emotional support to patients and their families, but also participating in administrative tasks in the office, helping with bereavement, making supportive phone calls from home, much more.
