Mission Statement
What We Do: As a community-based nonprofit organization, Family Health West is committed to providing a Continuum of Care enhancing our community’s quality of life through professional health care and related services.
Description
A Tradition of Caring
At Family Health West, everything we do revolves around our mission. We have been taking care of families in the lower valley community since 1946. Our people know that those entrusted to our care receive uncompromised compassion and concern. We not only care for individual physical needs, but for the overall well-being of our patients and their families. This is accomplished through our Continuum of Care.
History
Family Health West, located in Fruita, Colorado, has remained on the leading edge of rural health care service delivery for over 60 years. The 16-bed hospital was a result of a community effort in the mid-1940s to provide health care for residents of rural Mesa County in Western Colorado. Local farmers and ranchers drove to Utah and brought back loads of bricks and supplies to build the hospital.
Family Health West has over 500 employees to serve you. As a nonprofit provider, we are proud to take care of families from all levels of income. Being the area's premier provider of Alzheimer's and elder care since the mid-1980s, the goal is to continue to develop and provide state-of-the-art programs for our patients resulting in a higher quality of life.
