Yes, you can make a difference in the life of an adult who cannot speak, understand, read and write English, one who can't communicate with a doctor or a son or daughter's school teacher, or complete a job application. Pick up a new skill and learn all about another culture by spending two hours a week tutoring an adult. Our students come from the U.S. and more than 100 countries other countries and our tutors tell us they usually gain more than they give. Senior citizens and college students are welcome. Start by attending one of our 15-hour training courses. No experience or knowledge of another language required. Our next training workshop, at the Belleville Public Library, takes place as follows:
Belleville Public Library
221 Washington Avenue
Belleville, NJ 07109
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 12:00-3:00 pm
March 13, 15, 20, 22, & 27, 2018
We have a long waiting list of students in Belleville and Bloomfield, NJ waiting for your help. Share your gift of literacy with others.
