Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities

Mentor

Our community-based mentoring program offers an opportunity for families to connect their child with a caring adult mentor who will help them grow into their full potential. Our mentors, who we call BIGS, are either individuals or couples committed to growing this relationship, introducing youth to new things, and helping their Little continually discover their own unique skills, curiosities, and talents.

Once a match has been made, Bigs and Littles spend time together out in the community doing activities that they both enjoy. It can be riding bikes, visits to museums, playing board games, simply hanging out, or whatever they decide together. It can be weekends, evenings or afterschool. Each match is unique and develops a rhythm that works for them.

Begin Your Relationship Virtually! Our response to Covid-19 allows mentors to build the foundation of a relationship virtually! If you or someone you know wants to be a "Big", please visit our volunteer page to learn more: www.bigstwincities.org/get-involved/volunteer
