JA Volunteer inspiring youth to own their economic success

Lead weekly fun, hands-on Junior Achievement (JA) lessons for 6th grade students on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. for a 6-week period beginning April 13. The Junior Achievement Global Marketplace curriculum will be used that teaches about global trade, what makes trade work and how trade affects student's daily lives.

As role models, volunteers bring the curriculum to life with real world experiences shared during classroom sessions. JA Staff provide training and all of the curriculum materials, and the teacher remains in the classroom the entire time. No matter what your profession, your life experience and determination to succeed means that you can serve as a role model. Our volunteers come from diverse occupations, backgrounds and age groups, including business professionals, parents, retirees, and college students. You are welcome to sign-up with a friend or colleague to team-teach.
