The Butterfly gloWalk 5K FUN Run Moving to Tampa in 2018!
READY... Set....GLOW!
My Hope Chest is SUPER excited about our big move to Tampa for this 3rd family fitness fundraiser along Tampa's Historic Riverwalk, Saturday April 14th!
Responsibilities: We want this to be the BEST event year YET! We are creating a list of volunteers who LOVE to give to their community and can work well under the excitement of a large event. Breast cancer survivors and experienced event volunteers desired to but not necessary- just organized, responsible and committed folks passionate about My Hope Chest and showing up for the day of the event ready to make it run smoothly.
Who- My Hope Chest charity (www.myhopechest.org)
What- Developing a SUPER Butterfly Team of Volunteers to execute the Butterfly gloWalk,5K!
When- April 14th, 2018.
Where- The event will kick off at Cotanchobee Park, Tampa and run along the Riverwalk.
Start Time/End Time: 12:00pm till 11:00pm (Maybe a little later) **Will be broken into shifts
Details: The Butterfly Volunteers will be assisting with setup, registration table, Butterfly Wing Fitting station, face painting, games, monitors along the route, manning the water stations, Selfie Station, and tear-down of the event. **There may be a need for more tasks to be added as we get closer to the event.
The Day of the event, it will be ALL hands on Deck ready to make a successful event!!

Mission Statement
The purpose of My Hope Chest is to help restore self-esteem, dignity and confidence to breast cancer survivors by facilitating and funding, as needed, reconstructive surgery for those who do not have adequate financial means to afford such surgery and to educate survivors on their breast reconstruction options. We also assist with co-pays for insured candidates who qualify and non-medical bills for survivors in active treatment.
Description
My Hope Chest is the only national 501c3 social service organization focused on reconstructive surgery for uninsured and under insured breast cancer survivors. We are moved to ACT and our goal is to heal and provide closure to the breast cancer journey. By enabling those who desire reconstruction to have it, My Hope Chest works to help all survivors return to a "new" normal with feelings of hope, self-worth and completeness.
