Students practicing their interviewing skills!

VOLUNTEER Opportunity with local Los Angeles students from some of our challenging urban environments and help them reach their full potential!

Los Angeles Team Mentoring (LATM) Leadership Camp

Purpose of the Leadership Camp is to enhance middle school students with their college knowledge and create concrete plans to graduate from high school in a college-ready capacity and achieve their future goals!

Date: June 15, 2018

Time: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Where: 145 S Spring St. Los Angeles CA 90012

What will we be doing: There will be a short orientation by LATM staff and then we will get to work helping to interview students and inspire them to achieve their dreams. On Friday’s Leadership Camp, the middle school students will come dressed for a professional mock interview with a volunteer (think of yourself as a college admissions personnel/or prospective employer). They will put all their hard work throughout the Leadership Camp to work to "interview" for college/job. You will be spending time with the students to "coach" and encourage them as they set goals for their personal success.

About LATM:

LATM specifically targets at-risk youth (ages 11-14) coming from foster care, juvenile probation and low-income households where most family members have not graduated from high school or college. During LATM’s Leadership Camp, students create an attainable plan preparing them for high school, college and future careers.
