Erik's Minnesota Adventures is an innovative tour program for young adults with autism. As tour guides, they lead tours, providing an opportunity for them to share their unique talents and expertise in specific areas within the arts, history, sports, environment - whatever their passion. We are looking for volunteers to accompany the tour guides, and support them on their tours. This listing is specifically for Maddy's Canterbury Park Race Horse Tour. You can read more about her tour here:

Maddy, an energetic and accomplished equestrian, eagerly shares her knowledge and horse expertise. As a tour guide, she shares information about caring for and racing horses. Growing up on a ranch in Colorado-much like Erik's Ranch-Maddy discovered an affinity for horses where she learned to ride, groom, train and care for a variety of breeds. While in Colorado, Madison was a member of Pony Club and she competed with her horse, Aragorn, in English riding competitions. She is also a graduate of Minnesota Life College.

As a volunteer assistant tour guide on Maddy's Canterbury Park Race Horse Tour, you will accompany Maddy on each tour. In addition, you will...

  • Know the tour and all of the details/information/logistics that take place during the tour.
  • Rehearse the tour and help improve the tour guide’s weaknesses.
  • Coordinate/communicate with Maddy to help prepare for her tours.
