ARTBAR is a small rescue located in rural southwestern WV. Our county is very poor and is listed by the state as one of the distressed counties. Because of this, it's obvious that local fundraising cannot bring in enough funding to cover our expenses.
Instead we prefer to do fundraising online. That's where you can help!
We are seeking volunteers with great creative writing skills who can write and promote fundraising pleas on social media for our rescue.
Our first full year in operation, we spent $56,000+ on vetting and that was when we had a vet that offered steep discounts. Sadly, he has since passed away and vetting is even more expensive now.
We like to focus our rescue efforts on sick, injured, and senior dogs which are much more expensive than young, healthy dogs to vet. They often require surgeries and ongoing medical care.

Mission Statement
The mission of A Reason To Believe Animal Rescue is to rescue homeless or neglected animals (including but not necessarily limited to dogs and cats), provide veterinary care, and get them placed them in great adoptive homes. All are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We house these animals in foster homes, kennels, or boarding as needed. We work in collaboration with shelters, veterinarians, rescues, owners needing to rehome their pets, and the public. We work to reduce the animal overpopulation issue by spaying and neutering as part of our process. We work to ensure the safety of the public by vaccinating according to the law and as the health of the animal permits based on the recommendations of our veterinarian. We treat for parasites, injuries, dentals, skin or ear infections. etc.

ARTBAR is a foster-based pet rescue located in rural southwestern West Virginia. We mostly rescue dogs but occasionally help other domestic pets. We are located near the star in our logo.
