For more than 20 years, New Foundations has helped people in Colorado's prisons and communities. AVP offers participants nonviolent communication and conflict resolution skills that can change their lives.
Help promote the transformative work of New Foundations by planning and organizing special events in the community. Work with other dedicated volunteers to create special events that broaden people's understanding of the challenges that incarcerated people face both in prison and when they come out; increase understanding of AVP; recruit volunteers; and encourage donations.
This position provides valuable experience for fundraising management and event planning. It is an opportunity to help AVP fulfill its mission to create peace in individuals, families and communities.

For more than thirty years, AVP Colorado, formerly the New Foundations Nonviolence Center, has helped people in in communities and in prisons to transform their lives. Through Alternatives to Violence workshops, we give people the tools they can use to learn new ways to communicate and resolve conflict without resorting to manipulation, coercion, or violence.
