Mission Statement
Cook Play Live’s mission is to foster healthier and more engaged individuals and families in urban areas through nutrition knowledge and hands-on cooking. We empower children, youths and adults to take control of their health, transform their habits and lead healthier, fuller lives through nutritious, tasty, affordable meals. Cook Play Live instills practical life skills that establish healthier eating practices, improve shopping choices and reinforce communal bonds through the joy of cooking. Cook Play Live partners with local stakeholders to end malnutrition by increasing the demand for and availability of affordable fresh produce in low-income urban communities.
Description
We are an organization that helps children grades 3-12 understand and adopt healthier lifestyles. Through interactive out-of-school-time cooking sessions, games and activities, we introduce nutrition concepts and healtheir eating habits.
