Lead or assist the effort at EcoWorks to find new homes for the plethora of materials that are being saved for reuse! EcoWorks currently utilizes Craig's List to sell or find homes for some materials that are not best sold/freed from the reuse center location. Other online platforms are an option upon investigation and recommendation, such as Freecycle.org, Etsy.com, eBay.com, and others. A starting point can be to take responsibility for the Craig's List account and post items that need to find new users, monitor the account for responses, and arrange to have respondents meet at EcoWorks to pick items up. Other platforms could be added to Craig's List as necessary. Aside from these online platforms, developing and maintaining community relationships with other organizations that can make use of certain items would be very helpful to ensure items go where they are needed. Timing is flexible for these tasks. To meet with EcoWorks staff to coordinate in person, there is a monthly staff meeting as an option (generally a Thursday each month from 7:30-9:00pm), as well as store hours on Thursdays-Sundays and volunteer hours on Tuesdays. We are happy to work in a flexible nature with this volunteer's schedule / availability!
