Sunday Funday has a different theme every year. The is year is "The Art of Entrepreneurship" and is being held at the Space Gallery. We have several volunteer jobs, most of which are 2-3 hour shifts. Alternatively, someone could volunteer for the whole event if they wished. Number of volunteers needed and types of jobs:
6 Furniture Set Up 8:30- 10:00am. Set up tables, chairs and table covers according to floor plan.
3 Auction Set Up 9:00 - 10:30am. Set up silent auction items/displays, make sure traffic flow works and all items are visible.
2 Greeters 10:30 - Noon. Welcome guests as they arrive, be knowledgeable about where things are located in the event.
4 Registration and Check-In, 10:30am - 12:30pm. Use laptops provided to check-in attendees, collect missing contact information, give out bid numbers.
6 Silent Auction Support, 10:45am - 1pm. Use tablets provided to collect bids from attendees, show attendees how to use tablet stations, encourage bidding, keep an eye on auction items and tablet stations, turn-in tablets to check-in when auction closes.
4 Heads/Tails noon - 1pm. Mingle with crowd registering guests for Heads and Tails game.
2 Auction recorders 1 - 2 pm. Write down bid numbers at auctioneer calls them out.
2 Auction Runner 1 - 2pm. Take papers from auction recorders to check-out.
4 Check-out Payment Collection, 1:30 - 2:30pm. Use laptops provided to collect payments, give auction items to winning bidders.
TBD Activity Coordinators 11am - 1pm. We're not sure what this looks like yet, but will be art/craft themed. If activities are your thing, we're your people.
4 Bartenders (TIPS certified or willing to take the 3 hour class) 10:45am - 1:45pm pour and serve drinks, keep an eye out for over consumption.

RMMFI doesn’t just invest in businesses; we invest in people, and we do it with more than dollars. Our goal is to help entrepreneurs grow into business owners who can successfully shift and adapt to changing environments in their businesses and their lives. We know that personal foundations are essential for success, and RMMFI works with entrepreneurs to develop their personal stability, entrepreneurial spark, and business feasibility.
In 15 years, RMMFI is proud to have:
- Graduated 69 cohorts of Business Launch Boot Camp with an 85% graduation rate, resulting in the launch or expansion of 550 businesses across Colorado
- Distributed $1,263,823 in 388 loans to low-income entrepreneurs with a 95% repayment rate plus $436,500 in grants
- Become a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) with the U.S. Treasury
- Been appointed to the Colorado Office of Financial Empowerment Advisory Council
- Received the 2023 Neighborhood Builders(r) Award from Bank of America
- Won the 2023 Impact100 Award from Impact100 Metro Denver
