A 54 year old man with ALS who lives alone is looking for help with cleaning and laundry. He would 3 hours of help every week cleaning his 1 bedroom apartment (vacuuming, dusting, bathroom, and kitchen), taking out his garbage and recyclables, and doing his laundry. His ALS has left him without the strength to complete these tasks.

What is ALS?
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.
How does The ALS Association help?
We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
