LSS-SW Content Writers help educate and inform readers across Arizona by developing short pieces that can be re-purposed across many formats, including electronic newsletters, church bulletins, social media, and more.

Responsibilities and Key Deliverables

LSS-SW Content Writers pick from monthly choices of story leads, and research topics independently, as well as with LS-SW in house experts. Content Writers can use their creativity to produce stories in a variety of formats, including:

• "Listicles"
• Multimedia slideshows (no video skills required)
• Articles
• Graphics

Qualifications

• Strong writing and word processing skills
  Familiarity with writing articles for a church bulletin, newsletter, blog, or other similar platform
• Ability to research stories
• Creative thinker who can put their own spin on a topic
• Background or interest in one of our services areas is helpful, but not required

Working Conditions

The volunteer may work remotely.

Clearances Required & Training

This role does not require a background clearance. The volunteer should attend an in-person volunteer orientation and Come & See Tour to have a solid foundation of LSS-SW programs and services. No additional training is required.

Location & Timeframe

Volunteer may work remotely with preferred schedule. Ideally content writers will average about one story per month, but no commitment is required.
