Fremont Area Habitat for Humanity

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

The HomeStore is a home improvement outlet that sells new and gently-used donated merchandise. Items include appliances, building supplies, furniture, and household items. The HomeStore allows community members to donate their items for re-sale, keeping them out of the landfill. All items are sold at a discount, allowing persons of every income level to purchase items. Revenues generated by the store fund the construction costs to build affordable, safe and energy efficient Habitat homes.

Volunteer activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting customers as they arrive into the HomeStore.
  • Assisting and answering customers' questions about merchandise or HomeStore policies.
  • Inspecting and approving donations, ensuring they meet HomeStore donation guidelines.
  • Cleaning, organizing, and stocking merchandise display shelves and items.
  • Maintaining departmental organization and cleanliness of aisles.
  • Pricing and tagging merchandise.
  • Picking up donations.

The HomeStore is open on Fridays 8-4 and Saturdays 8-2! Visit our website for more information https://www.fremonthabitat.org/involve/volunteer.html
