In conjunction with their grief counseling at HCN, Reiki sessions are offered to our bereavement clients. Reiki, an energy modality, is utilized to help grieving clients with deep relaxation and stress relief, aiding them on their journey towards healing. Level 2 Reiki Practitioners are needed to participate, as volunteers, in providing the gift of Reiki in this valuable way.
Volunteers will be required to complete an orientation to Hospice Care Network, specific training for volunteering with Reiki in Bereavement and be available to dedicate 2 hours of service on a weekly basis.
Interested candidates may apply directly by downloading an application from our website at www.hospicecarenetwork.org, and selecting the Volunteer tab. To request an application by regular mail or email, please call 516-224-6416 or email send an email to sallen10@northwell.edu
