ChickTech's ACT-W National is an engaging 3-day conference where talented women and supporters in tech connect with organizations and other leaders in the community. The conference includes interactive and engaging sessions, one-on-one coaching, and many opportunities for networking in a supportive and uplifting environment!
Want to offer your expertise to those seeking a job in technology? You can provide free career advice to attendees at our drop-in Career Fair. Technical interviewers are needed each day of the conference (April 11 - 13). You can sign up for one or more shifts. All volunteers who sign up for shift receive a discount to attend the conference. 3 shifts cover the entire cost of the conference!
This volunteer position could be for you if you have:
- A BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
- Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
- 2+ years of software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages
- Have some familiarity with database models
- A passion for helping others
- Have conducted one or more technical interview before

ChickTech is dedicated to retaining women and non-binary people in the technology workforce and increasing the number of people of marginalized genders pursuing technology-based careers.
Description
ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
