Volunteer Driving Position- AS NEEDED

Volunteer Drivers are needed for our community of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our residents love to go out into the community and need your help! We are looking for drivers to be available for an on call basis.

We drive our residents to bowling, the Lakeland Square Mall, Walmart, Publix, Basketball, and more!
As a driver you would be responsible for inspecting the vehicles before and after driving is over as well as getting residents to the location and back to the location safely.

Driver Qualifications:

1. Valid Driver License and Insurance
2. Must be 21 or older
3. Complete 2- Department of Transportation Training Courses (online training, free)
4. Must pass a Department of Transportation Physical (Paid for by Noah's Ark)
5. Must pass a level 2 background check (at your expense)

Training:

1. Complete 2 Training Courses
2. Go through test drive with Volunteer Director (Courtney Taylor)

We would need a volunteer on an on-call basis but we will provide a monthly schedule and a website that you can freely sign up for driving positions at your leisure as well. Driving can be as long as you would like to drive for Noah's Ark, all I ask is please notify me, Courtney Taylor, if you are not willing to drive for Noah's Ark any more where we can know who is activity involved for our records.
