The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and improving the lifes of those affected by these diseases. The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation Maryland/So. Delaware Chapter is currently seeking an intern to work part time at the local office in Baltimore, MD. Candidates must be able to succeed while balancing various tasks and responsbilities. If interested, please contact Clare Boczon at cboczon@crohnscolitisfoundation.org
Duties may include:
- Assist staff with informational input and material preparation for upcoming events, mailings, and record management
- Manage and maintain volunteer outreach under the oversight of the Development Coordinator:
o Conduct internal and external research to inform recruitment methods and strategies
o Assist in process development for volunteer onboarding
o Assist in process development for volunteer appreciation
o Implement strategic retention methods
o Serve as a point of contact for volunteer questions/concerns - Inventory, organize and supplement chapter resources
o Create awareness and advertising materials for wide dissemination
- Assist in the creation, planning and dissemination of the chapter newsletter
- Update Social Media platforms and create content plans on a bi-weekly basis
Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years of age - Must have previous work experience - Great verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office - Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Internship is unpaid, but we are happy to work with you to provide school credit. Internships generally follow a school semester track, but timeline can be extended or altered for the right candidate. Work hours will be performed within a 9-5 schedule, to be determined prior to the start date, and will not exceed 20 hours per week.

The Foundation is the leader in research, patient education, and support services for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (which include both Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis). At least 83 cents of every dollar goes directly toward supporting our mission.
