On Saturday, June 8, 2019 we are hosting our annual Maryland Take Steps Walk at the Canton Waterfront Park in Baltimore, MD. Check in will begin at 4:30pm and the walk will start at 5:30pm.
There will be two volunteer shifts 12pm-3:30pm and 3:30pm-7:30pm. We are looking for volunteers to help with registration, pre-walk activities our first shift. Shift two will provide support during the walk, and with clean-up. We are also looking for in-office support leading up to the walk. Please contact us at bweber@crohnscolitisfoundation.org if you would like to volunteer with us!
Take Steps is the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation’s signature walk campaign in which every chapter across the nation will be participating. Take Steps is the nation’s largest event dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. Registration is free; however, participants are encouraged to raise money for crucial research, bringing us closer to a future free from Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Beyond raising money for research, Take Steps brings together the Crohn’s and colitis community in a fun, energetic and family-friendly atmosphere. While many suffer in silence, Take Steps encourages patients and their families encourages to make noise and be heard in the fight, raising awareness of these little-known diseases in their community and across the nation.
